Book with blank covers, 18th century reproduction. During the French Revolution, leather being rare and expensive, books were simply bound without covers, encased in a sheet of papier maché on which labels indicated the title and the author. Each book here is hand-made, old-looking thanks to natural techniques using water and sun that patiently awaits its story.
